Windows XP Updates... annoying 20.02.2007 | |
| Is it just me or these days Microsoft are "sending" a lot of updates and which forces you to restart the system almost everyday?
I'm tired of moving the window of 'Restart now' to outside the screen so it stops asking me for it :(
I'm gonna be a mac fan here... I don't remember the last time I had to restart MacOS. | | posted by ricardo cabello at 20:30 | | 7 comments written so far |

| even when a package manager is working, there's no reason for a linux box to stop working. you can always throttle down the process. two words: nice and htop.
anyway, about the particular annoyance of the please-restart-because-yo ur-mortal-soul-is-in-dang er: just get a window hide-minimizer tool, such as 4t tray minimizer, and you will restar your computer at your will, not at microsoft's. or select when do you want to install the updates.
microsoft's update release cycle is usually quite regular: every second tuesday of the month, unless there are no updates.
