ifparty'06 website and identity
02.03.2006
Ok, following the tradition, I had to do the website & ID for this year's edition of ifparty. This year the concept wasn't really clear, I mean in the orgo we were discussing about some concepts, and there were some nice ones, but then it was too late to develop those concepts (delays, delays..) and then (thanks God) was when shash and slack released a intro4k invitation for the party.

The concept in the intro was totally new, I mean, didn't have anything to do with what we were speaking about, but I thoght it was cool enough to use it as base for the concept. Let's just continue that theme, develop the Identity of the party with that concept and job done. And that's what I did the last weekend.

Bug 1: ?section=contact
Unfortunatelly my beloved Sole doesn't have the time (and energy) for helping this year so I had to code a basic template php system for the site. Then It was when we found the bug of Safari and links like this:

<a href="?section=contact">

Bug 2: $_COOKIE vs IE
Which Sole is researching as she is the number 1 defender of Safari. Also, I had the usual problem using $_COOKIE['language'] with Internet Explorer, but with the system I did was quite fast changing it to $_SESSION['language'] and now works properly everywhere.

And that's more or less all, a little bit of promo here and there, and now it's time to design the t-shirt. So this is more or less all the work that a party needs.

Hope you like it!

i need to find the answeeeeeeeer!
would be nice if you could find the FLA :P otherwise .. time for some uncompile time...

On the cookie vs ie, the problem is that with the session solution you'll need to select your language each time you come back to the site.
IE==POO!

Who would ever have told me that I would come with a proper invitation, that even pleased the party webmaster designer to take the concept :P

And I was just going to make a rather different 4k... Thanks God that I didn't :)

SORRY!
Is not that I don't care about what you have to say, of course I do, but they are speaking louder and I lost my patience :(
