| the day when UK was Spain and Spain was UK 12.07.2005 |
| We had planned to do our holidays the last week since long time ago. As I already said, the idea was to go to some "lost" town in the north os spain, with beach. Relax, sun, beach, tapas, sangria, poor quality TV and everything very cheap. But far from what we were looking for everything started to turn to other way. On wednesday the day was starting to be darker, some rain on there.. and a lot of wind on the beach. Also I was working for the gig I had to do at mmt festival and that was stealing some of these relax time. And as the last main bit, I had to reconstruct my broken tooth so I had to go to barcelona some days. The holidays went mad. Veery mad. On thurday meanwhile we were waiting for the doctor and a friend of us phoned asking if we were in London, we said "no.." and he said "shit!".. He was actually looking for his brother that was on London at this moment. Then he told us about the bombs. After that I wanted to reconstruct the tooth asap and go home to check the news on internet. 7 bombs in the tube and 1 in a bus they said (you know, the beginnings are always confusing). Then we decided to don't lose more time watching the tv as UK is not like Spain on that, they are not going to say any new, as they don't want to the attackers to know what they know. So we went to walk and get some "bravas" at bar tomas ;) Meanwhile they were opening the Bar it started to rain. So we finished like being in London. Raining outside and with bombs in our other country. I want to thank to all those people that called / sent emails / ask on forums about sole and me. We were actually very away and we didn't read the email until the day after. Also, once again, we was going back to barcelona from montcada, with a hard rain after a great gig at mmt festival. Is it going to rain the next year again? :P The rest of the days we were enjoying again Cunit and their celebrations, as they were doing a lot of special parties.
