| The week of the releases! After going the las weekend to Spain to do two vjgigs (one of the festival was evicted so I had to do only the one for roterfleck) and have a nice time walking by the best barcelona corners, on monday we finally released xplsv.tv. That was a project in background since a lot of months, but Sole and I did a hard work the last two months for it (Kudos to sole as she did all the hardcode by scratch). So, the website is there, running and the community is growing. I hope the best for it and I'll do my best to add all the features the community will need. And that's enough by me, but on tuesday I received the new Becanne issue. If you understand spanish, take a lot to it. |

| New post with the new Michel Gondry shocking movie. I saw Michel Gondry works when Director-file released the DVD with all the musicvideos work of him as they did with Chris Cunningham and Spike Jonze as well. I usually go to princecharles cinema (london) to watch some "cult" movies, I really hate the ODEON ones, so I prefer that cinema where they use to have diferent movies. I was looking since months ago that movie in their list and last friday I decided to watch it. I have no problems with Jim Carrey like a lot of friends of mine that usually say.. "uhmm.. Jim Carrey, I don't like those kind of movies". I saw Man on the moon years ago and I realized that Jim Carrey could do great jobs.. Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind is the last movie directed by Michel Gondry and written by Charlie Kaufman with Jim Carrey, Kate Winslet, Kirsten Dunst.. A lot of great names in a great movie. I was very very happy and shocked after the movie, great and new ideas, great camera works and effects and, as each movie of Charlie Kaufman, have a awesome script. Two days later I'm still thinking about the movie and trying to watch it again however ;) So, try to give it a look. If you like it you will love this site ;). |

| rodrigo tiene la culpa! 15.09.2004 |
| Me he comprado la revista radeon 9600 donde se pueden ver especiales partidas de petanca. Pude ver una partida donde un grupo Griego saludaba a mi anterior grupo en sus mejores lanzamientos y uno de esos lanzamientos que se quedan en la historia de la petanca. Me apena muchisimo, hace unos meses otro grupo famoso americano tambien saludo a nuestro grupo en sus lanzamientos. Mas que apenarme me da mucha rabia ya que si nos saludan no es precisamente gracias a Rodrigo que fue quien desmonto el grupo y encima lo abandono como ya he mencionado unos posts mas abajo. Desmontando asi un grupo respetado en el mundo de la petanca como podemos ver con estas ultimas partidas. Rodrigo tiene la culpa! Y por si fuera poco, Rodrigo sigue haciendo de las suyas. |

| Yes dude! bcnparty'100 website was launched some weeks ago. As you can see, the topic of this year is kind of scary/mental people status. Honestly I don´t feel fine saying to the people that the underground movement where i´m contributing turns you mental.. weird idea anyway. As you probably know, I was involved in bcnparty organizacion the first three years, the fourth year I decided to leave the organization as I moved to London and was not an easy thing to do, basicly I had no time to lose. After the moving and stablished in London I sent an email to the organization again, saying that I was ready to help again, doing a lot of possible tasks. They didn't answer me. Some months later I asked why they didn't answer me, they said that they had enough help in all the fields where I offered my help. It's really a shame, until this year, the website was always up-to-date in the stateoftheart way. And never had those level of typos in all the languages. Some demoscener friends told me that they weren't really motivated to attend the party this year because the website feelings, not only the design, also the way of organize and do the things.. Anyway, I still want to support the party and improve it, but probably, the only that they will let me do is participate and perhaps do again a gig with nork or shine as the people seems to like it. :'( |

| La petanca 04.09.2004 |
| La petanca es un juego que tiene bastantes años. Pese a su simplez, resulta bastante adictivo ya que no es solo el juego sino la socializacion con otras personas, pasar el tiempo de una manera entretenida y buscar siempre la perfecion en el juego. Es sobre el tema de la socialización a lo que voy. En la petanca llevo bastante tiempo, haciendo mis juegos, innovando mi tecnica. Yendo a competiciones incluso internacionales. Y hasta ahi todo correcto. Fue entonces cuando conoci a Rodrigo. Rodrigo era un chico muy abierto, se llevaba bien con todos los jugadores, siempre quedaba muy bien, pero tuvo cierto interes en conocerme más y llevar nuestra relación fuera de la petanca. Yo soy un chico algo cerrado y no suelo dejar que me conozcan bien. Pero en este caso puesto que Rodrigo parecia un chico de confianza lo hice. A parte de esto, todo iba bien, conoci a otros jugadores e hicimos un equipo majo de competición en el cual estaba Rodrigo. Despues de haber estado en varios equipos, este era bastante decente. Todos eran buenos jugadores y ganabamos bastantes competiciones. Aparte del equipo, con Rodrigo habiamos organizado unos cuantas competiciones internacionales consiguiendo muy buenos resultados en cuanto a calidad del evento/competición. Fue entonces cuando el encargado de funcionamiento propuso crear nuevos sistemas para llevar la organizacion de los partidos, algo que a mi me fascino y que nos hacia ir por delante de los demas. Pero aquí es cuando entró Rodrigo diciendo, que ese no era el espíritu de la petanca, y que no debiamos hacer eso. Rodrigo me sorprendió, se puso muy pesado y se puso en contra de esos sistemas. De alguna manera fomento malas vibraciones en el equipo. Poco a poco fui viendo que no era solo en la petanca, fuera de la petanca Rodrigo se volvia insoportable. Y no era solo yo, muchos amigos mutuos me comentaban problemas que Rodrigo creaba ultimamente. Y asi estuvo la situacion hasta que de alguna manera, Rodrigo se volvio tan insoportable que me tuve que apartar de el fuese como fuese, me desmoralizaba, me frustraba, y mis ambiciones de perfecionar mi tecnica en la petanca iban a menos. Puesto que habia puesto a casi todo el equipo de petanca en mi contra, decidi dejar el equipo de petanca. Fue entonces cuando decidi mudarme a Londres por motivos de nuevos horizontes laborales. Mudarme sin conocer a nadie, a la aventura, a ver que ocurria. Algo bastante importante para lo que necesitas estar bastante seguro de ti mismo y tener las ideas claras. Pero Rodrigo seguia ahi, poniendo problemas por todos lados. Con el no podia conseguir tener las ideas claras para poder lanzarme a la aventura, asi que opté por decirle cosas fuertes a ver si conseguia quitarmelo de encima y olvidarme de él. Con esto no solo conseguí un odio infinito hacia mi, sino que mis amigos me iban haciendo llegar mensajes de Rodrigo, indirectas, indirectas y más indirectas. Ya en el equipo, mientras el formaba parte de otros equipos y me hacia pequeños ataques, pero no pense que acabara en tanto. Cada movimiento que hacia en el mundo de la petanca era observado, y Rodrigo al ser el principal organizador de la competición de petanca, me quitó de la organización por motivos simplemente personales, diciendo que yo daba mala imagen en el mundo de la petanca. Poco despues Rodrigo cambió de equipo de petanca y eso fue algo bastante duro, despues de haber destruido un equipo con futuro, se fue a otro sin más. Rodrigo cada vez iba a peor, seguian las indirectas y los ataques. Y por mucho que yo intentara arreglar las cosas, Rodrigo seguia igual. Despues de conseguir hablar con el, consegui hacerle a la idea de hablar en una competición en la que ibamos a coincidir. Poco antes de la competición, me enteré sin querer que seguia con su tradición de criticarme y atacarme por la espalda, lo cual me quitó todo interés de intentar arreglar las cosas. A dia de hoy, Rodrigo sigue igual de insoportable y cada vez va perdiendo más amigos. Es una pena. Independientemente de eso, yo sigo en la petanca! :D |

| Avui acabo de confirmar el que desde ja fa uns dies els amics de Barcelona m'anavan dient. UAC ja no es tornarà a fer, el capitol del 26 de juny va ser l'últim i no vaig poder veure gaire cosa, desde la web de tvc es poden veure videos dels millors moments, i vaig poder veure el monòleg i poca cosa més. M'hages agradat veureho tot. I jo em pregunto, ara qué? He anat miran i veig que "el terrat" ja a començat a sortir fora de catalunya, imatges com aquesta al principi fan mal, pero despres, que collons! clar que si, a veure si s'ho curren tan com ho han fet sempre i millora la tv a Espanya. També he llegit en molts foros a gent que deia que ja tocaba que l'andreu se'n anes. Que parlava massa català al programa i tal i cual, quina colla d'estupids! No saben apreciar el que tenen. Una de les coses que més anyoraba de Barcelona era aquest programa sense dubte. Ara es el moment que l'Andreu decideixi que vol fer i de segur que sigui per la pela o no (que tan se me'n fot) so currarà tant con pugui. Si no sabeu de qui parlo, aquí teniu la seva web. Ànims! | Not enough with that gig, some days later, nork wanted me to do some visuals for his djset at euskal'04. I already had plane tickets for it so I had no problem to do the gig again with him (we already did an improvised gig at bcnparty'11). So I was again waiting to depart to Spain at some London airport. This time I wasn't able to sleep in waiting the depart time, and neither in the party. Three days without sleep, I was feeling really tired to do a gig. But some friends encouraged me seconds before the time. This time was a gig with 3000 computer addicts (gamers, lecheers, linux, sceners, and those kind of people). Some hours before the time Mac sent me as well some changes that I was asking for the vjtool, I didn't expected that and I got so happy as well. The gig was nice, the projector had no delay this time, I just tested the beat then toilets and seconds after we started the gig.. Nork helped me a lot this time saying me the changes of the music (Thanks dude!). But then, after 40min gig the people at the party started to whistle, and then putting the chairs in the air. In that moment I didn't know if that was good of bad. I just continued with the visuals. But then, those people was starting to move closer the stage with the chairs in the air.. Was totally weird, after some minutes saying bullshit the gig had to stop. I didn't know why they were complaining, days after the party I heard it was because the music was too loud. Anyway, the experience was great and once again I want to thank Nork and Euskal orgos for it. Kewl! So, because these gigs and other great things, that was the best july of my life without doubt. | my first time 01.08.2004 |
| July was a really weird month, weird enough to be te best july of my life. At the beginning of the month my friend Alex Martin wanted me to do a vjset in a town near to Barcelona in a festival called MMT. This was the first vjset for non-demoscene people and that was enough to move to Spain just for a weekend. On friday I went to "La Paloma" as it was a nice club years ago, but It really dissapointed me, now they play breakbeats and not very cool music for the kind of club as it is. So then I started to think about the saturday gig and had to went to home to slept, and work some more effects. The place was really nice, outdoor, some free drinks for the artists and when I was on the top I felt something like eminem says on his movie. There was not a lot of people but was enough to think, c'mon! show'em what you can do!.. Hehe, was a nice 10seconds feeling :) Then I tested the tool and I was really disappointed, the projecter had a really long delay, when I had to do the visuals was really had to sinc the beats, so I finally decided to swap the effect mode to get the ambient sound as looked better than trying to do it manually and with the delay. At 3am started to rain (one of the worst summer rains at Barcelona) so the festival was canceled :( Anyway, I had enough time to do some vj and as well I was projecting some demos to visualize the audio lives. Another problem there was the fact that there was no djset, just lives, that means that the musician plays some musics and when the music finish, the music finish, and you have to stop and change to another effect, and that's not very nice for a vj :) Anyway, I honestly want to thank Alex Martin and Protozoo for that chance. |

| After one week fighting with some spanish guys and walking and walking through London I'm finally established. I got a room in Queen's park, sharing the house this time with an eccentric fifty years old woman with a mini zoo included, broken phones on the walls and a library in the toilet. Typical, isn't it? ;) By the way, I want to send some thanks to Sonia and Sarai for all her help those days.. :* Meanwhile I was looking for rooms I went sometimes to HMV to hear some techno vinyls, and fortuitously I found one with two musics I was searching so hard some months ago. Both music were in the same vynil. Christian Smith & John Selway are the artists of both ones (Giant and Titan), look for them if you like techno! By the way, I wrote an article for the second issue of that pdfmagazine about spanish demoscene about some mistakes that the demoscene guys usually do. Talking about becanne issue2, I want to say that technically this issue is great, the font is really easy to read and the design is in some sections really nice. I don't like the design of the whole magazine, but i'll probably will like in some issues. Keep up the good work dudes! So, after all those moves I'm ready to produce some things that I have in mind, molomucho v3, xplsv.tv and next r08 prod saga are in the oven. Give me some weeks! |

| Three months ago I had to leave London because I didn't found any permanent job in my first try there and had no enough money to survive doing freelance jobs. Once again I'm moving to London, this time with a permanent job. So I will be off for a while meanwhile I find a place to sleep and those things.. Let's enjoy the London fresh summer, great events everyhour, dr.pepper and vanilla coke! |
