| Probably you are aware that latelly there were some "new" browsers on the streets, well, actually one, Firefox. But, be clever and don't use them. Let's see why: 1. Nobody uses Firefox as it don't come with the OS. Only some geeks are using it. 2. A lot of pages doesn't work well with Firefox as they are optimized for Internet Explorer (as it's the most used browser). 3. With Firefox you can't change the colour of the scrollbas. 4. You can install the Avantbrowser to add the tabbing system to Internet Explorer as well (somethting not really usefull). 5. With Firefox you can't use the windowsupdate web service. 6. Internet Explorer adds some great breaklines to make the page clearer. 7. Internet Explorer does have great support with Macromedia Flash, only have some small problems at Mac version of Internet Explorer. 8. Internet Explorer does have the best image viewer ever, with a very well optimized resize tool. 9. Internet Explorer doesn't have RSS integrated reader, but who cares? nobody uses that technology! 10. Within Internet Explorer you can use internetbased applications to add icons on your desktop, change your default page and add new tabs on your explorer with special search engines. If you need, you can format your harddisk with it as well. So, use Internet Explorer! |

| version 7 and they still with the same old silly bug!! grrr! when you import an image to the stage (and basicaly when you exports the flash) the first vertical and horizontal line is duplicated, and the last vertical and horizontal line is elimitade. I am always fighting with that fix since flash4 adding a transparent pixel on the first vertical and horizonal lines (in the case is a gif). fix that bug for flash supadupahmxp2005pro please! |

| As some of you already know I bought a gp32 at the last edition of bcnparty. I bought is because I knew that was a platform where anybody could develop "legally" for free. And that means lots of apps, experiments, emulators, new uses for the handheld and all that. Just the first day I got it I found the module (xm, mod, it..) player mikplay32 and was really cool as there is a lot of great music done by trackers and usually doesn't need a lot of space.. like 1megabyte for a big one. That was great and I was expecting really good stuff for it. Then I checked pouet.net for some good demo for it and the best one was baardei/aardbei. Actually was amazing, really fast and shows what the handheld can actually do. Then I checked the emulators and I found that the emulators were a big battery killer. Somehow, using any emulator the screen started to do some white waves and then dead.. :( I checked some other emulators but more or less have the same problem. A good point was the port of Quake, very impressive but a bit slow to enjoy the game.. Then I started to test those miniOS for the hanheld where you could have some icons and add other for your apps, change the background.. and that's all.. well.. not bad. After some months I finally have some thoughts about it.. basicly, as nobody is paying for it and is not really easy to develop for it (atleast I tried to do that without good results), THE GP32SCENE IS FULL OF SHIT. A LOT of UNFINISHED games, apps, ports, tests.. the games are only some smallgames, like the typical flashgames, but the flashgames are usually better done.. there is too many shit and takes a lot of time and test to find something usefull/good. But of course as in all those non-comercial scenes there is some people that works hard to produce good stuff, and this is what I'm writting that post today, just to save your time in the case you get one of these handhelds. Apart of the mentioned tools/demos/games I said that's a selection of cool stuff developed for gp32: Slubman Firmware If you get a GP32, this is the first thing you have to add on it, that's a new BOOTMENU/TOOL for the handheld that makes Windows detect the handheld as an externalHD (this is really cool, because the tools for tranfer files with the original firmware sucks), also the firmware does have some small WinCommander on it. If you get one, put that on it! elena Tetris in a tube, quite original and with good music (music from Project A/Impact Studios demo I think) electronia Very addictive small game. GPSpout Totally weird game, very experimental, without sound but is quite addictive as well. Lacuna Probably you know that game, this is the 3D version, improving the original 2D game. And that's all by now, if I get something REALLY GOOD for it I'll post it here. Enjoy! |

| As you probably know, neon (xplsv.com vjtool) binaries and sources was released exactly 1 month ago. Some people told me that the release was not a good idea, because, for example, Spain is full of lame vj people putting some random videos downloaded from internet and doing nothing. And that they were going to use my visuals and also the tool. Well, honestly, about that point, I don't care, they can use my visuals if they please that will be much better than not to still in my HD, and about to use the tool, perhaps if they saw an xplsv gig wherever they can think like "wow! I want that tool! They do nice stuff!".. As always the tool is "only" a video and 3D scenes mixer/syncher. You CAN'T create new stuff with the tool, you will need to use photoshop and 3D Studio Max to create new stuff, and you will need time and good taste for that. Also the tool have a lot of bugs and there is no documentation, and nevere will be I'm afraid. In the other hand, some people sourprised when said "ey! neon rox!! I spend all the las night trying to figure out how it works". Hahaha, really some people did that, but I guess they were playing only with the visuals I released. We released the tool because mac started the v2 totally new last year and then leave the project. So the v1 was basicly dead, yeah, you can do stuff but have a lot of bugs and sometimes is really hard to do stuff with it. So as the tool is much better in some points that the actual commercial tools we released to "improve" the sector, and if someone wants to use it.. good! and also if someone wants to improve it.. fucking good! A friend of mine told me yesterday that in some spanish club there was playing xplsv.com videos where you can see the xplsv.com logo on the right-down corner. Probably was some of the videos on the site right now. That guy asked me if I was angry because that.. No! just the opposite, I'm glad that they visual are good enough to be used wherever. Some months ago some guy told me that in some duth rave there was playing using videos from the demo MDMA on the visuals, that's cool! |

| I'm trying to rent a new flat on notting hill, being a bit away because that. Seems to be a bit hard, a lot of papers, signatures, and of course, a lot of MONEY! Looking forward to move on there this weekend, to contract internet for it... and.. play Half Life 2!! of course! ;) |

| As you know, I'm trying to rent a flat latelly and I'm doing that with a estate agency. After watch some flats, sing some papers and all that you have to do a transfer to the estate agency account. So today I had to went to the bank and do the transfer. I just forgot my passport at home and I was very pissed off for that, but I tried it anyway. So I went to the bank and I did a (big and chap(one day)) transfer to another account. I show to them my debit card, my statements and they never ask me for my passport or any ID. So, you know, get the debit card and the statements from somebody and do that transfer to you account ;) |
