| I just received an email from bulldog (my internet provider) saying that since this month I will have 8MB, and.. for free! That's not a sourprise anymore. When you're inside something awesome, a new sourprise is not a big deal. But, let's go out the bubble and think about. 8MB! Quite cool! And as the email says "You will be able to download DVD an Musi faster!".. that's true! ;) Let's see if I have some free time in the next days to explain some interesting things that I experienced with these people. |

| First was Google, with his Google Desktop Search. I used it for some weeks, and was not bad, but when it was needed I didn't found what I was looking for, basicly because only search some specific kind of files. Uninstalled. Then I tried the one of M$ Windows Desktop Search. Everything was more integrated (obviously), and I was able to search more kind of files and the preview of the files was cool as well, was very similar to Apple's Spotlight. But somehow, the HardDisk is always scratching. It says "Windows Search will only search when your computer is Idle". Is it idle when I am watching a DVD? Uninstalled. Technology is a bitch. I'll sort my stuff. Oh! and also I hate the bloody ".DS_Store" files! |

| Layers on top of Flash are possible 26.05.2005 |
| Here I go with a trechy one. That's something that is not very easy to find on Internet, so if anyone needs that in the future here is the explanation. If you work on the web sector probably you had the problem at some point of flash on the top of the page. I mean, probably you wanted to have another layer (menu navigations for example) on the top of flash but that wasn't working. After some workarounds on the design I decided to do a bit of research. And this time I found a way to do it. <div> <div id="flash" style="position:absolute; z-index:0;"> YOUR FLASH OBJECT GOES HERE </div> <div id="layerOnTop" style="position:absolute; display:block; z-index:1;"> TEXT ON TOP OF FLASH </div> </div> So as you can see you need to have the layers with position:absolute and then sort the layers with the z-index property. Also you will have to add the <param name="wmode" value="transparent"> in the flash object code. TADAAAA!! |

| At last! My humble handmade blog is now 1.0. I added the navigation by pages, improved a little bit the RSS and guess what! You won't need to add your name/email/url once again! Impressive.. uh?! ;). I think there is still some bug/crap here but shouldn't be a big deal.. |

| Tortas, rosquillas y sangria 25.05.2005 |
| The last week we was struggling with some website bits at Spring and I said to the developers, whoever fix that first well get some "tapas" for free next week. So, today I went to work with a bag full of, "pulpo con salsa americana", "rosquillas", "tortas", one "longaniza" and "sangria". In the production meeting I give to some of them some "tortas", then at lunch time, I give them the rest of food. And what were the results of that test? All the english people there didn't like anything of what I gave to them, only "rosquillas" that it is basicly dry bread. The only that was eating everything and saying, "woh! that's cool!" were the non-english people on there (chinesse, american, australian, portuguesse).. Quite interesting.. However, as there was a lot of food there, I ate almost everything as my lunch. So, who was saying that here is everything plastic? ;) |

| No queria tocar el tema por no dar promocion indirecta a la empresa en cuestion (aunque la verdad es que poca puedo ofrecer desde este blog), pero es que las cosas han llegado a limites insospechables. Todo se remonta a la pasada edicion de la ifparty05, donde en una de mis muchas salidas de la habitacion me tope con el grupito de la entrada tratando con una, al parecer, periodista. A eso que me quede en la puerta viendo y escuchando lo que ocurria ahi. La periodista (Chele Esteve Sendra) por una razon u otra pasaba por ahi y vio unas cosas proyectadas que le llamaron la atencion e intento saber de que iba todo eso. He de decir que el panorama que pude ver ahi era totalmente caotico, Chele intentaba entender el sentido de la demoscene por parte de gente que no tenia ni idea de lo que era todo eso, frases como «Se organizan 5 parties como esta en el pais», «Esta es la segunda edicion», «No! La tercera!», «Uno dice que la primera fue hace 10anyos, que esta es la quinta.».. Y por si el caos no fuese suficiente, gente conducia el tema dando promocion a la Casa del Alumno. Y fue cuando llego a este punto, que ya no pude aguantar mas y me puse a explicarle exactamente a Chele de donde venia todo, el sentido, la evolucion.. a todo esto se sumo tambien sole. Una vez ofreciendo informacion detallada y bastante clara, nos encontramos con que la senyorita Chele, no para de hacernos repetir todo lo que deciamos, para que dictarlo, de hecho, nos hacia decirlo de otra manera, puesto que no le estaba quedando bien. A esto se sumaba su prepotencia de «Venga, venga, que he quedado a y media, y quedan 5 minutos», que lo dijo (y sin exagerar) lo menos 8 veces. Pocas veces he tenido que tener tanta paciencia con nadie. Me parece muy bien que empezase con esa gente que tambien hizo lo mejor que pudo, pero eso era inaguantable. Terminamos dictandole totalmente la noticia. Nos despedimos, y nos olvidamos.. Despues de una semana, sole me reenvia un email que habia sido enviado al email de la party con el subject "parra trace y sole", donde la senyorita Chele volvia a nosotros pidiendonos fotos para el articulo. Para lo cual, le mando una gran lista de links de donde sacar bastantes fotos. Todo esto se juntaba con las preparaciones de mi conferencia en el offf y el gig con roterfleck y obviamente con mi curro diario y el resultado es que no tenia casi nada de tiempo para dedicarme a esto. Un dia despues me responde Chele, diciendo que solo queria 2 fotos, y que no tenia tiempo para mirarse los links. Una vez mas, nos tocaba hacerle el trabajo. Todo esto alinyado con topics tal que «para Trace» (cuando el email iba directamente a mi email), «I am so sorry my darling......», y con grandes despedidas tal que «gracias "bonico". besets chele», «sorry, lots of love from valencia»... Le envio una selecion y de nuevo me olvido. Habiamos quedado que antes de publicar el articulo nos lo ensenyaria para dar nuestra aprobacion puesto que era algo que segun ella le gustaba hacer. Y asi lo hizo, bueno, mas o menos.. me envio de nuevo un email, diciendome que habia salido el hacia 5 dias, que esperaba que nos hubiese gustado. Fue ahi cuando ya perdi la paciencia y le comento todo lo que hemos tenido que aguantar. A lo cual me contesta que tenia una copia para nosotros y que por quejarme ya no nos la enviaba. Sole busco un poco por la web y por fin pudo encontrar el articulo en cuestion. La senyora Chele no habia hecho mas que usar lo que le habiamos "dictado" y tambien saco un cacho de las faq de escena.org, y poco mas. Ninguna de las fotos que le envie salen en el articulo, ni despues de 10 emails con mi nombre en el From y decirselo en persona se entero que no me llamo Ricardo Caballero, y para terminar, el articulo no deja claro absolutamente nada. De nuevo le vuelvo a notificar todas las imperfecciones garrafales cometidas.. a lo cual Chele me contesto algo tan gracioso como: «Debes ser simplemente "perfecto2, pero también eres "ofensivo". Con tú pan te lo comas. Procure hacerlo lo mejor posible... Para mi desde este momento ya no existes.». Y por si no fuera poco un tal ricmoreno que al parecer trabaja en vodafone.es me envio el siguiente email: «Hola capullo he leido los correos que has enviado recreocomunicación, tu quien te crees que eres, tal y como he visto que te comportas no eres mas que un niñato de mierda mal criado, que lo unico que se merece es desprecio. ¿como eres capaz de tratar a si a la gente que esta intentando dar a conocer las actividades de mierda que haceis una pandilla de niños mal criados y que tambien las conozca un poco la gente?. Parece que seas dios. Si no tenias interes en contar nada lo dices y ya esta, nos dejamos de perder el tiempo y te metes tus actividades de pajillero en el culo.» El cual demuestra la profesionalidad y el respeto que tienen esta gente sobre lo que envian a publicar. A todo esto, he de decir que en ningun momento me comporte indebidamente, ni use vocabulario a la altura de lo que yo recibi. | Como te va por londres? Pues.. Tirando tirando! La verdad es que bastante bien de hecho.. ahora es solo ir viviendo el dia a dia. Y la comida que tal? Pues.. ahora ya tengo mas pelas y ya puedo permitirme comer mejor, ya se ensaladas2go del super, o baguettes/shawarmas de un libanes que hay enfrente de donde trabajo. No suelo hacerme mucha cosa en casa, pero vamos, lo de ir al Pizza Hut Buffet Libre para llenarme y no cenar por la noche ya paso.. El curro bien? Si si, bueno, ultimamente me estoy comiendo unos cuantos marrones, pero todo va tirando bien. Seguimos para arriba. Y ya haces deporte o que? Pues algo voy haciendo, mucho mas que antes de hecho. Aunque sea cada dia correr detras del autobus ;) Bueno, bueno, cuidate, eh?! La familia.. es lo que tiene.. :) |

| Veredict: Ipod Shuffle is cool, very useful, copy things from here to there, listen some random music. That's cool.. but. ITUNES SUCKS! I hate that program, I always hated it, why do I need a shitty program to copy tunes to an USB device LCDless? Also, it just associated all the MP3 to it (when I said NO! I DON'T WANT TO ASSOCIATE THEM, AND DON'T ASK ME AGAIN). And as last point, Itunes does have some uncompatibility with Suitcase (font mananger), and crashes it. I never had problems with Suitcase. SHITUNES! |
